Our Philosophy

Why AquaSafe Swim School

Teaching children to be safe in and around water is our number one priority – particularly in an area where almost every house has a swimming pool. We not only have to protect our children in our own homes, but in other homes as well. In addition to teaching children to swim, we provide their parents with helpful safety information.

Our swim school provides year-round swimming lessons. As with any progressively-learned skill, success does not come in two weeks or even eight weeks of lessons. Learning to swim is a life-long skill. At AquaSafe, our classes are on-going. Most of our students attend one, often two days a week, all year long.

Swim Lessons & Teams

Swim Lessons

We offer year-round swim lessons for ages 6 weeks to adult. Customers have the flexibility to begin and end classes based on their needs. We accept customers any time! Simply prioritize days and times that work for your family, and then give us a call to see what’s available.

Gators Swim Team

This is an excellent opportunity for kids ages 5 to 17 to “get their feet wet” in competition. Our goal with this program is to promote teamwork and good sportsmanship while continuing to foster a love for swimming in an encouraging and welcoming environment. The Gators Swim Team is open to children who know all 4 strokes.

Meet Our Founders

Gail Spivey, the school’s owner, has assembled a team whose combined experience, training, and enthusiasm are unequaled in the Valley. Gail has always had a passion for swimming since childhood.

Gail has always had a passion for swimming since childhood. As a teenager, she was a swim instructor and volunteer lifeguard for the Boys and Girls Clubs in Indiana, as well as for the Senior Citizen Center. She graduated from Purdue University in 1986 and spent the next 16 years working in the oil industry. Her last 5 years were her most rewarding, where she was the national safety director for the retail division. Her knowledge of safety coupled with her passion for swimming led her to where she is today as the owner of AquaSafe.
